Water is scarce and valuable in 2048. The government rations and regulates it, but the black market thrives on it. A journalist investigates the illegal water trade and traces it to a hostel in Tamil Nadu, where a gang leader controls the water supply and exploits the students. The journalist poses as a student, but his cover is blown and he must escape and expose the truth. Along the way, he meets various people who have their own stories and struggles with water. LIQUID is a dystopian film that explores the human condition and the importance of water.
